Real-life copywriter in an AI world

I’ve been a freelance copywriter for the past 12 years. Before then I worked at agencies including Saatchis, Oglivy, VML and many more. There aren’t many sectors I haven’t work on; from technology to FMCG I’ve done it all. So, whatever your project, I can do it for you too.

With AI in the mix, it’s easy for everyone to create their own copy for ads, social and more. But you still need an experienced human copywriter to make it communicate in a way that other humans will relate and respond to.

AI hasn’t eveolved to be creative just yet, and for copy that works hard, you still need that ingenuity and spark a real-life copywriter can bring.

If you provide your own AI copy as a starting point, I will re-write where needed, to make the writing sound less awkward, repetitive and dull, cutting out weirdly formal or over-enthusiastic language. In short, humanising it.

Testimonials:

Gail is a great writer. She always creates a tone of voice that resonates with the audience. Her copy is well structured and has personality. Gail is a great person to have within a team not just for her writing skills but for her personality and humour. I would love to work with her again – she’s a very talented wordsmith – a rare breed these days
— Kevin Ferry, Creative Director, Isobar
Gail is an award-winning writer, very experienced and hugely versatile, you can throw pretty much anything at her and she’ll do a great job.
— David Prideaux, ECD, Iris
Gail was the creative head on a couple of tough bits of business but managed to keep a sense of humour and get some very good work out on Unilever and Kimberly-Clark brands, which, at the time, few thought was possible.
— Patrick Collister, Head of Design, Google
I’d recommend Gail’s Creative Thinking and Brand Storytelling training to anyone wanting to think more creatively and write for the web - whether they’re a complete beginner or looking to improve existing skills. We were treated like VIPs! Everything had been thought of.
— Janice Turney, Senior Copywriter, The Real Adventure
